Firstly, thank you for visiting MatthewWalker.TV. My name is Matthew, I’m a British TV & Radio Presenter, Broadcaster & Live Event Compere.

For me, being a good presenter and live host is like being a good music conductor. You must run the show with style, flair, knowledge and passion but never steal it. This is the motto that I've stuck by throughout my career and to date, it's served me very well.

My passion for in-depth research and detail-oriented preparation has allowed me to host a wide spectrum of events ranging from TV, radio, the main stage at musical festivals, red carpet film premieres, live sporting events, award ceremonies featuring charity auctions, game shows and even B2B conferences. The key to success is preparation, which for me is "work". Once the camera is rolling or the event begins, my job is to relax and put the audience at ease by making everything look effortless.

My three years studying at Manchester School of Theatre taught me the importance of delivering exceptional written material. Throughout my career I've worked closely with television producers, radio executives, event organisers, film crews and marketing teams to create insight-led content, used to shape events and drive engaging discussion. During my work with GOTO Events, this has been demonstrated, delivering bespoke written content to over 20,000 people across 150+ events in 2021 alone.

When the team and I delivered a particularly large event, with over 1200 guests, spanning 4 weeks, the client had this to say, "Huge plaudits to all your hosts and tech support people! I know one isn’t supposed to have favourites but...I take my proverbial hat off to Matthew – he really brought such phenomenal energy, enthusiasm and joy to every session!"
